As early autumn twilight settles over Causeway Bay, let golden harmonies sweep you above the evening rush.
gLEEful Music presents an intimate jazz gathering where Parisian elegance meets the vibrant heart of African rhythm and Hong Kong energy. International jazz vocalist Talie Monin, joined by a stellar ensemble, brings lush melodies, warm grooves and timeless soul to the city skyline under the stars.
In the soft glow of Urban Sky, her sweet, idyllic voice floats above swinging piano, fluid guitar lines, deep bass and sensitive drums — inviting the community to pause, listen and rediscover the quiet joy of shared music on a Thursday evening.
Artist Biographies
Talie Monin – Vocal
South African-born Talie Monin is an international jazz songstress known for her sweet, idyllic tone, unique delivery and deep knowledge of the jazz standards repertoire. After vocal training at the American School of Modern Music and the Sarah Lazarus Vocal Atelier at the Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris, she settled in Hong Kong and quickly became a prominent figure on the Asian jazz scene.
She has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival (Audience Choice Award), Freespace Jazz Festival, French May Arts Festival and Cosmopolis Festival, and in 2022 shared the stage with Ted Lo and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Her 2019 debut album 24 Strathay earned her the “Best Female Jazz Artist” award at the South African Jazz Awards and was praised as “a 21st-century musical alchemy pointing jazz towards the future.”

2. Please arrive at Urban Sky, 9/F, Hysan Place at least 10 minutes before the start of the event.
3. No change or refund request will be accepted once booking is confirmed
4. If Typhoon No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm signal is in force 4 hours before the activity starts, the event will be cancelled without further notice.
5. Declaration - Personal Data Privacy
By participating in the workshop/event, the Participant hereby confirms that he/she has read, understood and accepted the Hysan Group's Privacy Policy Statement and the Personal Information Collection Statement. Participant also agrees to Hysan’s use of his/her personal data in the manner and for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy Statement and the Personal Information Collection Statement. · The participant is aware that photographs and videos will be taken during the the workshops/events, and they consent to Hysan and the Event Partner taking and using these photographs and videos (“Recordings”) for their purposes. The Recordings belongs to and is the absolute property of Hysan and the Event Partner.
· These terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with the law of Hong Kong, and the parties shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Hong Kong in case of dispute.
· In case of any disputes, the decisions of Hysan and the Event Partner shall be final and binding on all parties.
· The English version of these terms and conditions shall prevail wherever there is any inconsistency of conflict between the Chinese and English versions.
