Hong Kong, a city rich in history and cultural fusion, boasts a unique culinary culture that carries the memories and emotions of countless individuals.
This episode features Mr. Lui Ka Chun, founder of Word by Word Collective, who will share how the evolution of Hong Kong’s culinary culture can be documented through words and explore how food acts as a vessel for memories. During the event, participants will also have the chance to taste traditional Hong Kong dishes carefully prepared by “Min Dong”, offering a dual enjoyment of flavours and soul, while sharing their personal food memories and stories.

About the Guests
Lui Ka Chun is the founder of Word by Word Collective and a seasoned media professional, previously serving as the Managing Editor for Eat & Travel Weekly. He currently runs a publishing house and a bookstore specializing in food history and culture. Passionate about books, literature and exploring global culinary traditions, he is the author of Eat Well and The Taste of Hong Kong, as well as the editor of a Hong Kong farm-to-table recipe book and an oral history about Hong Kong’s culinary heritage.

2. Please arrive at Min Dong (G/F, 10 Matheson Street, Causeway Bay) at least 15 minutes before the start of the event.
3. No change or refund request will be accepted once booking is confirmed.
4. If No. 8 Typhoon or above or Black Rainstorm signal is in force 4 hours before the activity starts, the event will be cancelled without further notice.

By participating in the event, the participant hereby agrees that Hysan Development may process all relevant personal data provided for the purpose of registering for the event. All personal data held by Hysan Development will be securely stored and handled. This declaration includes the following:
